As the world faces the pandemic crisis in the year 2020, hardships and living challenges faced by everyone is a struggling concern, more prevalent for social welfare organizations. In view of this situation, Pantasniaga Sdn Bhd under the leadership of Mr. YT Lee, initiated the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility program.
For a start, the company have identified 3 beneficiaries:
1. Pertubuhan Pusat Kebajikan Destiny in collaboration with Yayasan Salam Malaysia
Pertubuhan Pusat Kebajikan Destiny is a caring center for refugee children and parents of the children, its principal Ms. Irene Dawson is a dedicated woman and has been running the center for the past 5-6 years. The center function around 3 core activities; providing education, healthy lifestyle and characters building. The center does not charge the parents for the services rendered and their existence is very much dependent on well-wishers and volunteers. When the children are left in their care during the daytime, the center provides education, food, and health care to children as well as parenting counselling.
With our first contribution of RM11,400, we undertook the repairs and upkeeping cost of the center.
Women’s Aid Organization was set-up during the mid-eighties, their missions are to curb domestics violence against women and children, rape, and other form of violence. They provide shelter, refuge, hotline services, counseling and survivors empowerment through skills enhancement and education to the mother and children. Currently, the organization is led by a dynamic lady, Ms. Joanne Melissa Wong, her dedications to the smooth operation of the center is highly commendable.
The current pandemic crisis had made their operation highly challenging, with the need to purchase PPE and sending their beneficiaries to have a RT-PCR Covid-19 test before accepting them into the shelter.
Pantasniaga Sdn Bhd being in the health care business, undertook the responsibility to provide WAO with 50 RT-PCR tests with the collaboration of Neogenix Laboratoire Sdn Bhd, as well as giving them 150 pieces of face shields. https://www.facebook.com/219297391484888/posts/3730003293747596/?substory_index=0&sfnsn=mo a word thanks from WAO.
